DeAngelo Williams a safe start?

Was reading the blurb about Drew Brees and the record and thehuddle comments that Carolina might be resting some starters because they can't improve playoff position. I thought they still could, maybe I'm wrong?

The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he is aware that QB Drew Brees is only 402 yards away from breaking the single-season passing yard mark but will play to win in Week 17 and not simply play to get Brees the record.

The Huddle's Take:

Seeing how the Saints are at home and play a Carolina team that really can't improve it's playoff standing, thus may be resting some defensive regulars, it's not out of the question that Brees could reach that mark -- with our without special play-calling from Payton.

If they rest some 'defensive regulars' wouldn't they be resting DeAngelo also?
