Chief Dick
I'm getting tired of the announcers proclaiming Chase Daniel as a legitimate NFL qb. Not gonna happen. He ALWAYS folds when things don't go his way.

theeohiostate
Comical. Your hatred for the Big 12 is. ??? I don't follow. Obvious that Missouri was giving 14 points solely for playing in the Big 12. The spreads makers forgot they almost lost to Big 10 bottom feeder Illinois this season. Northwestern isn't much better then them, but nowhere near a 14 point dog. Missouri is simply the 1st of many Big 12 teams set to disappoint the odds makers this bowl season. theeohiostate
Gotta feel for those Wildcats. On the road in Big 12 country , outplayed and outclassed the Tigers , but a botched extra point may have sealed their fate.

I watched a few Northwestern games this year and of course saw plenty of Mizzou. I thought this would be like 45-21 or somethin. Crazy. wiegie
Most accurate kicker in college history just pushes a 41 yard game-winning attempt off to right with 3 seconds left.

Looks like the Big 10 has sloooowly moved to 0-2 this bowl season with a few more beatings coming.....you may want to score this against the spreads just to save some face.....oh wait, you are already doing that...... On to the game, MU has no pass D and NW kept running the ball?? Had they opened it up just a bit, they might have come out on top, they played to stay in the game rather than to win it. Caught Chase on a bad night, but could not put it away.
Rockerbraves
Just saw the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter and OT and all I heard the announcers saying was how bad of a game Daniels was having tonight. Didn't know he had thrown 3 pics till after the game. Sort of felt sorry for his family whenever the camera focused on them. Sure didn't look like they were enjoying themselves. nogohawk
That Mizzou punt return for a TD just before half was amazing - man that kid can fly! Edited December 30, 2008 by nogohawk

wildcat2334
whatever - Mizzou -13 was about right the number opened at 12 and went up to 13, so yet again TOS, not sure where yer coming from, if you had NW +13 b/c it was so easy - then well done. Me thinks you have no idea on the meaning of point spread. I watched 2 very mediocre teams, Mizzou isn't even a top 25 team, and I have a strong feeling last night is part 1 of the Big 12 getting exposed in these bowl games now that they actually step out of conference. Part 2 is tonight as the Ducks manhandle OSU with too much team speed, athleticism and run the ball down their throats Oregon 48 OSU

We'll see. I don't think the Mini Roethlisberger is an NFL QB at all, myself. Too short, too innacurate and that system they run doesn't translate to the NFL game IMO Drew Brees? the only they have in common is that they are caucasian. theeohiostate
Looks like the Big 10 has sloooowly moved to 0-2 this bowl season with a few more beatings coming..... If you wanna call a missed extra point for a win for Mizzou a beating then go ahead The fact remains the Missouri was a 14 point favorite and it's obvious to anyone now how overranked this conference truly is, struggling in it's opening game, sending out the Big 12 runner up to beat a pathetic Northwestern team that couldn't score a TD against the Bucks...........by a mere missed exrta point. Face it, if the kicker made the extra point, Northwestern just upsets the biggest spread in the bowls this season and Big 12 runner up. Mizzou was overrated, no doubt but cmon dood Big 12 runner up is a misnomer, lets get real here, Mizzou is the 5th best team in the Big 12 - so, they beat NW by 7 - and this is some sort of morale win because NW covered the biggest spread in the Bowls? who gives a F - they lost. Yeah the women in the Daniel family (but was one his girlfriend?) look pretty hot. I agree with that. Can't agree with the rest. Not accurate enough? If we're talking %-completions, I think you have to be thinking of someone else. Dude only completed 73% of his passes this year. 68% last year. 64% year previous. All of those numbers, FWIW, are higher than Brees' highest number while at Purdue. And in reference to wildcat's "analysis", Mizzou's offense isn't particularly close to an NFL offense but I contend Daniel has enough of the NFL QB "makeup" to be able to pick up an NFL playbook. Better yet, if he goes to a team like Miami (or if more teams start running that offense), he'll be especially effective. Just an opinion but I think the guy will be a good pro. He's not a blue chipper like Bradford, but I think he'll be a value pick.
