Chief Dick
Brett Favre has been contacted by Hair Club for Men to unlock the secret that is his permanent gray stubble. Rumor has it they are developing a new product called: "Stub O'Gray" The goal is to match it perfectly with your own gray hair. So far, the marketing department has decided to market this product to hen-pecked husbands, wishy-washy middle managers, and mama's boys. Chief Dick's Opinion: Not happy. Anything that takes attention away from Tom Brady and his uber:euro:hairstub combo is just self-centeredness by Favre. Tom Brady needs to rehab FAST so he can bitch-slap Favre back to the Bayou. Although I feel a bit disappointed there was no squirrel reference jammed in there. Edited December 31, 2008 by Gunther

tazinib1
An unnamed Jets player told Newsday that Brett Favre created "a lot of resentment" in the team's locker room this season. "He never socialized with us, never went to dinner with anyone," the player said, describing Favre as "distant." RB Thomas Jones also voiced his frustration with the quarterback's erratic play an a radio interview Tuesday: "When you get to the wire and somebody is just giving the game up, I mean, it's just not (fair)," said Jones. Favre has told Jets officials that he will take until the end of February to decide whether to retire. These kind of comments might speed up the process. This team seems to be imploding. That was my first reaction as well. Damn NY'ers. I think the more profound statement was that of T.Jones pretty much throwing Favre under the bus. Wolverines Fan
This team seems to be imploding. You can say that again. It also obviously looks like a campaign to run him out of town. Per FanHouse.com, Cower passed on the Jets gig because he didn't want anything to do with Favre. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2008/12/31/report-...ll-cowher-from/ Edited January 1, 2009 by Wolverines Fan

This team seems to be imploding. It's not socializing that's the problem, it's seperating yourself from your team. He didn't try and be a teammate, and now they don't have his back. His play over the second half of the season was absolutely horrid. He deserves everyone on the Jets throwing him under the bus.
Roy
Shouldn't the whole Jets team be thrown under a bus ...

No kidding. Staying in your office and not in the locker room (the only player with an office btw) and turning down invites to go to dinner. Yeah, that's a guy people want to lay out for. Faver showed up to play but failed to LEAD which is a good chunk of the expectation I would've paid $$$ for.

If you believe Thomas Jones. Isn't Jones the one who spread similar rumors about Benson in Chicago when he didn't get the ball enough? Did anyone talk to Favre? Did anyone ask him out to dinner or his family over to their house? Edited January 2, 2009 by Randall

And Benson finds happiness in Cinci, go figure.
