How many were upsets and how many were just match-ups between top teams? 1 Florida & 2 Oklahoma, obviously one of them has to lose. 4 Alabama lost to 6 Utah. 7 Texas Tech lost to 25 Mississippi - major upset 8 Penn State lost to 5 USC 9 Boise lost to 11 TCU 10 OSU lost to 3 Texas So 5 games matched up top 11 teams. Five of them had to lose. That's part of what the BCS does, right, match up the top 10 (or so) teams? I'm not disputing your comment, just it's not really a surprise since most of the top 10 played each other.
