AtomicCEO
I had a Mr. Beer. All the beers tasted just a little funny. I'm sure someone will come by to recommend a different system soon. There are several brewers around here.
bushwacked
I had a Mr. Beer. All the beers tasted just a little funny. I'm sure someone will come by to recommend a different system soon. There are several brewers around here. Yup. If you enjoy Mr. Beer at all, I'd suggest going to a reputable Home Brewing store and spend $100 to get set up with a basic extract home brewing kit. It's easy to make good homemade beer; with Mr. Beer it's only easy to make beer. detlef
I didn't want to be the guy who came along and killed the buzz, but yep, it's not much harder to do it right.
Kid Cid
Sigh...much like detlef, I don't want to be a buzz kill so I will say that you should definitely give Mr Beer a go. Then once you've used up the ingredients that came with the kit, post here and I can pass on some quality extract recipes for many different styles of beer. I also know that Rovers has a rig that is just short of pub size should you ever decide to go the all grain route. There is no shortage of beer making expertise on this site. Honestly, that's a fine idea. And, since it's a gift, what better way to decide if you're into the beer making process. The other bonus is that if you do upgrade and stop using the kit, the person who gave it to you can be happy that their gift got you excited about making beer. fingfootball
This is the one I use. Very versatile. Happy customer C.J "Yeah, I wear a kilt - anyone got a problem with that?" Boy, he must look like a real wuss without a kilt.
