BigMikeinNY
I honestly have to say, I have never seen so much love for Wild Card teams during Divisional Playoff weekend in my life. The media, the sportscasters, the public, and now NFL Countdown is showing a ton love LOVE for these wild cards teams (not Cardinals so much). Why such love for these Ravens and Eagles? I honestly think all 4 home teams win this weekend Anyone else? Edited January 10, 2009 by BigMikeinNY
Zooty
I think it comes from the fact that all 4 home teams usually don't win. Everyone is trying to be the guy to pick the upset. Of the 4, I think BAL will beat TEN but I like the other 3 home teams. And FWIW- If the Giants lose they are chokers, regardless of what the media says. Defending SB champs shouldn't lose their 1st game , at home no less. The love for the Eagles is baffling IMO
Jackass
i'd be shocked if Tenn lost to Baltimore.
TDFFFreak
Agreed Zooty, although I think the Titans are for real, the Ravens have as good of a shot at beating them as anyone. The Steelers should probably prove a bit too tough for the Bolts, but I am hoping I am wrong. I'm not sure where all this love for our Eagles is coming from. Yes, their defense is very hot, but one so-so game by them or an average offensive performance and the Eagles are toast. An upset certainly could happen, but it's not as likley as many are saying. wolfden1
Eagles looked okay against the Vikes, great against the Cowboys. Anyone watch the Redskins game? Who knows which Philly team will show up. Tennessee will handle the rookie QB, if Collins makes no mistakes the Titans advance. Steelers should be able to pressure Rivers into some mistakes (that the Colts couldn't capitalize on) wihch will be enough. Cards will make it a closer game than everyone believes, but won't pull it out. Of the four, I think the likeliest WC team to advance would be Baltimore, but wouldn't bet on it. Bonedaddies
Fisher has been brilliant all year with what he has done with this team, Vince goes crazy and he still keeps the team focused day in and day out. I think the Titans win today, it will be a grind and I take nothing away from the Ravens, they are a solid team. It has rained hard all day here, but looks to be clearing up a bit....the track will be a bit slow...not sure what that does to the under. Riffraff
All 4 teams should win, but I'd assume 1 loses. If I was betting based on confidence, I'd put them in this order: 1. Philly - they've proven to be able to walk into the Meadowlands and hand the Giants a loss. 2. Baltimore - just because it could be a short game (lots of running) and a low scoring game. 3. San Diego - Doesn't match up well with the Steelers on most levels. 4. Arizona - key to the game is offensive balance with Edge involved. What the Panthers did was a choke job. Getting blown out by a team they should have beaten easily. While an Eagles win would be an upset, I wouldn't call it an Giants choke. These two teams are division rivals and know each other very well. That and the Eagles are hot right now while the Giants lost 3 out of 4 to end the season. So, based on that, no wonder the Eagles are getting all kinds of love. But, go ahead and keep making excuses Eagles fans if that gets you to sleep better at night. If you win, good job, you deserve it. If you lose, I don't want to hear that you weren't supposed to win anyway. The better team will win on Sunday. Personally, I have no love for the Eagles. Giants win by two TD's! Edited January 11, 2009 by Dirty Sanchez
