Trots
I wonder if he regrets passing on the Baltimore job last year. His star seems to have tarnished a bit.

Double Agent
10 minutes ago Roto reported Garrett was the new coach. Now they're reporting he was just in town for a second interview.

KOKIDKOKID
Stewart's gone....Garrett could be gone...what's the time frame on Phillips' departure? Smells like he will step down to me...when all your staff leaves/gets canned...head coach troubles could be brewing. Just speculation on my part though. Chavez
I wonder if he regrets passing on the Baltimore job last year. His star seems to have tarnished a bit. I'd sure be disappointed if I were an offensive coach who missed out on the chance to coach Derrick Mason and Le'Ron McClain and instead was stuck with Torry Holt and Steven Jackson. Sgt Ryan
I wonder if he regrets passing on the Baltimore job last year. His star seems to have tarnished a bit. Get real this defense is very old, and the offense is downright pathetic. Balt better get it done this yr, or they could be rebuilding for a decade. bushwacked
I wonder if he regrets passing on the Baltimore job last year. His star seems to have tarnished a bit. The only thing that may have slightly tarnished his star is that he may have spent one too many seasons assisting Rodney Dangerfield and working for Al Davis Jerry Jones. STL Fan
STL Media and the Rams are still saying Garrett is just in town for a second interview even though the Rams announced that the interview yesterday with Spagnolo was the last one and they intended to have a coach by the end of the weekend. Then Garrett is spotted in the airport heading for STL and the Rams deny it. Then they say he's just here for a second interview and there has been no offer and there is no press conference scheduled. So based on history, if the Rams deny it, it turns out to be true. Welcome to the Lou, Jason. I hope it was TO and Romo's girlfriend and Pacman's bad Karma that made the Cowboys puke all over themselves this year. Hell the RAMS beat them this year. Shouldn't that be enough for the Rams to pass on him? How good can this guy be if WE freakin' beat him?
tazinib1
As a life long Rams fan, I welcome this hire with open arms if it is indeed true. They havn't had a competent coach since Dick Vermeil. This will bode extremely well for the Crabtree lottery.
Seahawks21
Stewart's gone....Garrett could be gone...what's the time frame on Phillips' departure? Smells like he will step down to me...when all your staff leaves/gets canned...head coach troubles could be brewing. Just speculation on my part though. KO'd Phillips has as many friends in football as anyone currently in the game. Many of these friends are very good football coaches. Phillips is too much of a coach to ever consider stepping down. He'll get some decent coordinators and give it another run next year. I think this was a very good hire for the Rams, and it scares me to death. By most accounts, Garrett is an incredibly bright offensive mind, and supposedly players love the guy.

Smells like he will step down to me...when all your staff leaves/gets canned...head coach troubles could be brewing. Just speculation on my part though. KO'd Garrett was here before Wade was hired. Stewart had to go because the defense couldn't play until Wade took over the DC duties. Stewart was his guy butif you can't do your job, you need to be replaced. The only thing that may have slightly tarnished his star is that he may have spent one too many seasons assisting Rodney Dangerfield and working for Al Davis Jerry Jones. The $hitty job he did this year couldn't have had anything to do withit?
i_am_the_swammi
Seemed like he wanted out of Dallas. Based on Jones keeping Doughboy another year, and publically stating he would be interested in Shanahan in 2010, that the HC job in Dallas would never be his. Dallas loses both its OC & DC this year, leaving the mutant all by himself...this is gonna be kinda fun to watch.
