Kid Cid
So every year, Ms Cid and I celebrate Mardi Gras with a big ole cajun meal and drinks. This year we did oysters on a half shell, shrimp and crawdad etouffee over rice and with a simple romaine and tomato salad. However, as we were walking through Wegmans shopping for this meal, one of the dudes offering samples was hawking something I never would have expected, fresh squeezed blood orange juice. Bells and whistles went off in my head and I realized that we could try Hosea from Top Chef's Grand Marnier Hurricane he made last week. These things are just a bit tart and most definitely F you up. I happen to think they are delicious. 1 cup dark rum 1 cup light rum 1/8 cup Grand Marnier 1 cup blood orange juice 1 cup grapefruit juice 1/4 cup pomegranate juice Combine all ingredients, serve over ice.
