Sanchez... not so much. I thought another WR ran 4.25 or 4.26 as I heard one of the announcers mention that's what Chris Johnson ran last year as well. ETA: I think it was Johnny Knox and they were comparing him to Deon Butler in that new technology they have. The 2 ran nose to nose and Knox kept up the speed over the entire 40. Awesome technology being able to show multiple players side by side running the 40! Edited February 22, 2009 by irish

Yea, I think it was unofficial for Knox. They said later on that DHB's 4.3 was the fastest official. irish
Yea, I think it was unofficial for Knox. They said later on that DHB's 4.3 was the fastest official. I gotcha. That's right they mention that all times when first mentioned are unofficial and will be adjusted later. I guess I thought that there wouldn't be much difference. As a side note, this seems like a tremendously fast group of WRs.

irish
Anyone see Chris "Beanie" Wells attempting to do the broad jump? I started to feel bad for the guy as he just couldn't stick the landing. He fell forward, he fell back, he even used the guy measuring to balance himself at one point. He must've attempted about 5 or 6 jumps in a row. However, his determination in completing the drill earned him one of the best, if not the best, broad jump so far at like 10'7"-10'9". I don't understand why it's so important to stick the landing on the broad jump. It's not like a skill to do that translates to the NFL in any way. The drill is supposed to show explosiveness, right? So who cares if he lands or not. Edited February 22, 2009 by irish

Riffraff
Donald Brown 4.48 unofficial Shonne Green was real slow at something like 4.65 Edited February 22, 2009 by Riffraff
irish
Donald Brown 4.48 unofficialShonne Green was real slow at something like 4.77 Greene looked like a lineman running. Brown ran 4.48 on both his first and second attempt. They did comparisons of Brown to Matt Forte. They were also saying that Brown needs to learn how to follow his blocks better as he's too often running past them and not allowing them to setup. Gartrell Johnson's thighs have to be the largest I've ever seen! 2 freakin' tree trunks.
Riffraff
Gartrell Johnson's thighs have to be the largest I've ever seen! 2 freakin' tree trunks. Yup, looked like Earl Campbell. Johnson not only had huge front side thighs like most people, but the back side was just friggin huge.

irish
Another RB that has looked very impressive and has probably helped his stock is Ian Johnson from Boise State. He clocked in with the 2nd fastest 40 time and has looked solid catching the ball and working through cone drills. Donald Brown is another RB who has looked solid as well and from what some of the announcers have said, this is a guy who will wear down defenses as the game goes on. tazinib1
So far Pat White is the best passer at the combine. I was not impressed with Pat White's ball flight at all. Sometimes wobbly, his passes were often underthrown or behind the receiver. Sanchez on the other hand, throws a beautiful ball and were usually hit on stride.
