fingfootball
link The Chiefs released quarterback Damon Huard, cornerback Patrick Surtain and linebacker Donnie Edwards today. Also released was tight end Mike Merritt.Huard, Surtain and Edwards were veteran players who didn't appear to fit with the new philosophy of general manager Scott Pioli and coach Todd Haley, so the moves were no surprise. Hat Trick
If Surtain could be picked up for minimum+incentives, I'd take him here. We'd love to see him sign there
Choppy
We'd love to see him sign there You nailed that. I think Bowe would love to go against Surtain twice a year. Kinda sorry about Edwards though. One of my favorites although he is certainly not what he once was. Too bad Carl the Genius traded him away for the best years of his career for next to nothing. Square
Why wouldn't Denver put Champ Bailey on Bowe? Oh I get it. We are assuming Denver is going to do smart things on defense now. Ok, I'll play along.
muck
Why wouldn't Denver put Champ Bailey on Bowe? Doesn't Champ usually take Gonzo?
Choppy
Why wouldn't Denver put Champ Bailey on Bowe? You're right. I forgot about Baily. My point though was really that Surtain will not be terribly missed in K.C. He's decent but seems to get beat deep a couple times every game.
