irish
I know that DMD usually runs a draft contest for everyone to attempt guessing who the Top 10 or 15 picks in NFL draft will be. However, I was thinking that just for fun and since this is a quiet time around the boards, we could create a group of Huddlers for each team and draft as many rounds as we'd like prior to the real Draft beginning. Each group of Huddlers assigned to specific teams could discuss each pick (be it through PM or in the live chat room here-like the war room) just as real NFL teams would do in order to make their pick. No limit to the amount of Huddlers for each team and if we have trouble filling any team we'd cross that bridge when we came to it. If this isn't feasible, then maybe we could just assign one Huddler to each team and draft as we would above. Thoughts? Outshined
We've done the homer team mock draft in the past. I ran it a couple years ago and it was fun. I will take the Vikes if you go that route.

fitzkek
These are always fun. I'll take the Eagles. If some or our other Eagle fans want to jump on board we could create a "war room" of sorts. It would probably produce better results than the current War Room featuring football idiots like, Heckert, Banner, and Reid.

I'm hoping that we could do a group draft and mimic what would happen in every teams' "war room" as that was my original idea. Worst case scenerio, we just have 1 person draft per team. I would be a part of the Cowboys group to draft if we happen to get into a 2nd round. I would like to at least do the 1st and 2nd round. If we do one Huddler per NFL team then I would give up my spot to a more long-standing Huddle vet for the Cowboys and take on another team that's left over or just have no team and put this together for others to do. BeeR
I'll take the Colts if avail. We're doing this over the msg boards right? Also not interested in more than 2/3 rounds tops FYI (even that could take a long time).

Also not interested in more than 2/3 rounds tops FYI (even that could take a long time). Anything more than 2-3 rounds (probably 2 rounds) would be too much and quite frankly overkill. We're definately doing this on the forums/chat room-skybox. The catch is that I'd like each NFL team to be represented by a group of Huddlers not just 1 person. I'm trying to create a model where we basically have a collection of people making the decision for each NFL team as they do in real life. I'll put you in for the Colts. If we don't get a large response then we can do as they do in other places and have 1 Huddler draft for each team but I'd rather a group. We'll see... There are a lot of strong opinions on who we need. I know PON and I both like Orakpo if there in the first. I like someone like Brace later more than Raji in the first. We need a pick only thread plus a comment thread. Edited March 3, 2009 by Randall

Yeah once all the slots are filled and hopefully like I said before we'll have groups for each team versus individuals, I'll start up a comments thread and a actual selection thread. Yep, you only need like 27 more teams. Less now. So who can I mark you down for? Vikings, I'd assume. I am willing to represent the skins! WashD OK. I'll do the pats. Gotcha. I'll be adding the draft order/teams and Huddlers tonight. Edited March 3, 2009 by irish

irish
Fo Sho. Great! Original thread has been edited to add the Draft order for Rounds 1 and 2 along with the Huddlers that have already claimed which team they'd like. Remember, my hope is that we get more than one Huddler for each team so as to create a little more fun discussion for each pick but as long as we have one for each we'll give it a go.
