WaterMan
T.O. would like being the #3 WR there. Cue back to when people said Moss would not have big numbers because of NE's "spread" offense.
Wpob
Cue back to when people said Moss would not have big numbers because of NE's "spread" offense. This is what I think. If Owens would toe the line, and he usually does in year one, I think they pretty much run the table and win the uper Bowl going away. How could any defense cover Moss, Owens, Welker, the TE and RB and lay a finger on Brady? The more I think about this, the more I think it will happen. Moss and Owens both NEED the ring to dot the i and thier HoF resumes. And I think Owens is pissed no one is willing to take a flier on him that he would want to stick it to the league and sacrifice #s for ring(s). Brady+Belichick+Moss+Welker+Owens = Super Bowl Champs

Randall
Cue back to when people said Moss would not have big numbers because of NE's "spread" offense. He stunk in Oakland. Most people wanted to see if he could still run(he wasn't doing any for the Raiders) before making predictions. I don't remember any spread offense quotes. Have any links to back this up? Crazysight
So remind me, which team was it that has done well with TO on it? McNabb and Owens were on fire before Owens broken leg. They made it to the Superbowl all the same that year and likely would have won had Owens been 100%. He was good for over 100 yards receiving all the same. And in 05 everybody in Philly wanted to put a hit on him.

Crazysight
Pats won via a field goal at game's end. I'm a life-long Pats fan but the game was close enough that I think a 100% TO would have made the difference for Philly. Of course the Pats had their injuries that year too and had Ty Law been healthy the game probably would have been one-sided for New England in the first place. The Pats were up 10 with 2 minutes left in the game. Of the three Super Bowl wins, this one was easily the least dramatic.
MikesVikes
What if these 3 Superstars hooked up? This may not warrant a response, but I think the three together, are less of a threat than the current Brady/Moss combo is. When I watched that game I never had the feeling the Pats were in danger of losing. If Owens had been 100% they would have adjusted. I don't think you can make definitive statements like they likely would have won. I think that's very much a debatable issue. Maybe coming back from an injury Owens was determined to prove everyone wrong about playing. Could Philly have won sure. Could the Patriots scored even more had they thought they were more in danger of losing yes again. We'll never know but I think the Patriots are still the favorite if the game were played again.
