Furd Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Its kinda interesting that the Lions haven't signed Leftwich or somebody. Their two "best" QBs from last year (Kitna & Orlovsky) are gone. They have a washed up Daunte Culpepper and an untried and fragile Drew Stanton on the roster. They have to have something in the works, right? And as much as I believe Stanton should get a shot and don't think Stafford is anywhere near a "franchise" QB, I wouldn't really blame them for taking Stafford and opting for a quality if somewhat lesser OL later in the first. In fact that is IMO TONS better than taking an OL (or whoever) and drafting Freeman later. Either take Stafford or just blow off QB and draft one next year.
