tazinib1
Big Ben should never be on a top 10 list. Ever.
irish
Big Ben should never be on a top 10 list. Ever. I believe that I've said this in past years. He was a Top 15 QB last year (barely).
irish
Rodgers at 4? Why not? Rodgers finished #2 overall at the QB position in several of my leagues last year. Manning had a slow start and could be a bit better and Brady will be back. Therefore, that would put Rodgers right at #4. Popeye
32 QB's ranked, but no Hasselbeck. Who do they think will be starting in Seattle?
irish
32 QB's ranked, but no Hasselbeck. Who do they think will be starting in Seattle? I really didn't read through it all that well, so I missed that they omitted him. That's obviously a hugh mistake or oversight on their part. Hasselbeck could be a Top 10 QB (more likely Top 15) this year if he remains healthy. Edited March 27, 2009 by irish

Randall
I have this(dynasty) 1 QB Drew Brees, NO 2 QB Jay Cutler, DEN 3 QB Peyton Manning, IND 4 QB Tom Brady, NE 6 5 QB Aaron Rodgers, GB 6 QB Philip Rivers, SD 7 QB Tony Romo, DAL 8 QB Donovan McNabb, PHI 9 QB Matt Schaub, HOU 10 QB Matt Ryan, ATL 11 QB Kurt Warner, ARI 12 QB Eli Manning, NYG 13 QB Ben Roethlisberger, PIT 14 QB David Garrard, JAX 15 QB Carson Palmer, CIN 16 QB Joe Flacco, BAL 17 QB Kyle Orton, CHI 18 QB Matt Cassel, NE 19 QB Brady Quinn 12 QB Rosenfels Edited March 27, 2009 by Randall
tazinib1
I like your list. The only change I'd make is moving Ryan up to before Romo. I don't think Cutler belongs at #2. I'd say in the 6-7 range.
irish
I like your list. The only change I'd make is moving Ryan up to before Romo. I probably wouldn't but it's not that far-fetched, especially with T.O no longer a Cowboy. Ryan has a solid running game behind him and even though I'm sure he'll continue to improve, I'm not sure how much more of the load they'll want to place on his shoulders having a competent running game at their disposal. Ryan had 434 pass attempts in 16 games last year and that equates to chucking the ball about 27 times a game and I'm sure that's right about where they'd like to stay and maybe even a little less than that. I don't think Cutler belongs at #2. I'd say in the 6-7 range. Again...why not? He was the #3 overall QB last year in several of my leagues and was less than 1 point away on the season from being #2. tazinib1
Are you jealous that Rivers isn't ranked higher? Awww. Yep. Again...why not? He was the #3 overall QB last year in several of my leagues and was less than 1 point away on the season from being #2. The B.Marshall factor is what I'm concerned about. Plus all the drama going on in DonkeyVille. Peyton is due for a pretty big season as is Brady if he stays healthy. Put those factors in and he drops. I figured that that was going to be the response and I certainly feel that it's a possibility as well.
tazinib1
oops, move Big Ben down the rankings some, rumor is, he's the next Madden cover boy, so he's cursed. for those who say that Favre broke the curse, I know he played all year, but he tore his arm up and led the Jets to an end of season collapse to miss the playoffs that only the Broncos could be proud of. Oh god no. Seriously? Link? I actually own Big Ben in a league. Yikes.

Now we're stretching the Madden curse a bit. I mean injury or horrific season was the deal. Favre had neither. Sure it didn't finish as well as he would have liked but he finished it and was ranked fairly highly as a Fantasy QB. Curse broken!!
irish
I dunno, that season collapse was pretty horrendous and a lesser QB would've probably on on IR. I hear ya. IMO, it just didn't meet the normal Madden Curse standards.
irish
What about the fact that he played for the Jets? That's pretty Cursey, yeah? Now we're talking!
Randall
Cutler's ranking is in flux right now. If he leaves, kills McDaniels or Marshall gets suspended it may move. I posted it for comparison because Roethlisberger is lower and I like Cutler and Rodgers high because it's for dynasty.
