Randall
I would expect if he gets a long suspension(over 4 games) it will be announced by this weekend. The NFL gives teams as much lead time as possible and I think if he got a long suspension it would have been announced by now so an appeal could be decided before the draft .Then the Broncos could make arrangements before the draft. I could be wrong of course but I've been wondering why nothing's been announced yet. It could be private between the league and team but I doubt that would be the case. If they don't announce anything by saturday I believe an 8 week suspension is unlikely. I would think 4 weeks at the most.
rebdog
it was disorderly conduct and the charges were dismissed quickly. i know the NFL is cracking down but i can't help feeling that more than 1 game is excessive. yes, i'm a Marshall owner. Randall
Randall, I agree, but it will definitely be an eight game suspension in 2010. So you think he'll be suspended next year?
irish
So you think he'll be suspended next year? Maybe he's predicting future run-ins with the law?
Capt. Stanky
So what is the consensus on BMarshall's value for next year and the future? I'm wondering because I'm looking at possibly acquiring him in a deep keeper league. Obviously his value takes a hit with Cutler out of town. Do you think it's even worth acquiring him, even if I can get him on the cheap?
rebdog
so shouldn't the boss have met with Marshall by now to discuss a possible suspension? the draft is tomorrow, is it not?

westvirginia
I tend to agree with Opie on this - the kid has incredible physical tools and football sense, but a $.10 head. He'll eventually get into some real trouble unless he has a Chris Carter type moment that changes his life.

Bronco Billy
I thought it would be a week before te draft. The NFL tries to help teams as much as possible. Marshall owners ought to be feeling a great weight easing up on them. All indications are that if he is suspended it isn't going to be lengthy or else the boom would have been lowered a lot earlier to allow DEN to accomodate the loss for an extended period. For all of his girlfriend issues - and they are significant - Marshall has been putting a lot of himself and his wealth back into the community (especially anti-gang efforts) here since he's been a pro, which is probably helping to mitigate the penalty. The Yakuza
As a Broncos fan I'm not sure it will matter this year whether we have him or not. I'm hoping for the best. I don't think he'll get much more than one game.
