westvirginia Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 Obviously I don't know crap, I'm just some dude who likes football and I don't expect everyone to drink the kool-aid. Still, I really like the guy's drive, attitude and skills. He's the type of player I want to see succeed over some of the higher profile, more self-important guys. It's just like the movies, you see You also have to look at the situation he's in. The Jags' receiving corps is terrible. Dillard and/or Thomas have a real shot in that situation and we all know how opportunity makes all the difference I remember nearly everything DMD's every written (even the stuff about William Greene ) and IIRC, the biggest factor in a rook putting up stats is opportunity. Now, it goes hand in hand that the guy has to have the talent and drive to make the most of the opportunity (see AQ Boldin), but in the right situation rookies can make serious contributions even as a wideout.
