Capt. Stanky
All the talk out of Bengals camp has been about Chris Henry finally getting it. Palmer has made many comments on how impressed and proud he is with Henry's work ethic this offseason. Is this real, or just a ploy to get Chad worried about his starting spot? One thing has become apparent, Chad is not going to be given his job back if and when he shows up at camp. He's going to have to earn it back this year. From the comments that Palmer has made about chad, I get the feeling he would prefer if Chad doesn't show up this year at all.
DMD
hard to believe that Henry has "got it" but it is possible. They can say all they want to say, if Johnson is a Bengal he will not be on the sideline ever. He will be the #1 because he is paid that way and he still has more talent than any other WR on that team - by far.

Also, if Henry's being touted by Palmer in May, I'll doubt anyone will be sleeping on him come draft time.
The Irish Doggy
Meh, heard it all before. The guy is a straight line jump-ball WR... a feast and famine player. Mostly famine IMO. Plus, you want to rely on that idiot to stay out of trouble? Late round backup or FA IMO. I'm more interested in Coles and the development of second year players, Chatman Caldwell and Simpson. Edit: Caldwell not Chatman. Thanks Captain. Edited May 27, 2009 by The Irish Doggy

I totally agree with this assessment of Henry's game. To this point he's shown to be a lazy route runner and alligator arms when asked to go over the middle. I think it's more of a ploy to get Chad to buy back into the "Team" concept. I think the Bengals could really surprise some people this year if the O gets back on track. If it is true that Henry actually "gets it" now, he could be a great value pick. If anything it's something to keep a close eye on during mini/training camp and pre-season

Being a mountaineer I really want this guy to succeed, but I gotta agree with doggy here. I might grab him way late, but I'm sure a QB has never pumped up a WR just to get his prima-donna target to get into camp and act right, huh? Randall
He may get it on the field, but when trouble strikes will he make good decisions or revert to who he was before? I don't know I'm just asking.

Yobonk
This guy is going so late in drafts right now that he's worth a shot. He's always had the talent to be a starting NFL WR and it's encouraging to see that he hasn't been arrested in the last year or so. Maybe he's finally matured? If he has, he will surprise for sure. Jackass
Is anyone playing him today? DMD doesn't even have him in the projections.
Scorcher
I have a Cin. Homer in one league who keeps making me offers for him. He's on my bench for now, waiting to see what happens on or off the field.. He ought to at least be given a chance. The Bush daughters turned out okay! keggerz
Is anyone playing him today? DMD doesn't even have him in the projections. I drafted him as my #4 behind Wayne, Smitty and Housh so he gets to sit and watch this week but I still think he is in line for a very very good season

Butkus1
He is a 3rd receiver for Fantasy. I have him as I took a late flyer on him. He will be on my bench to start the season. If he proves it on the field he would be a qualified steal and sleeper.
rajncajn
Starting Avery over him today. I'd rather wait a week & see if how big his role is going to be.
DMD
I cannot wait to see what they do with Chris Henry. He gets talked about like he's the #1 or #2 receiver and that he's going to have a huge year. And yet he is also the backup for Ochocinco and listed as the #4 WR on the depth chart behind Chad, Coles (flanker) and Caldwell (slot). I have never seen a player that some say is going to be a monster force but others say he'll be just a #4 wideout and not a factor.
rattsass
I'm giving him a start today due to Welker's status. Probably boom or bust. Fingers crossed.

Ruffian
He is a sleeper...if by sleeper, you mean a sleeper overnight at the County Pokey. Not a sleeper on the Po Po Scanner system, either. Edited September 13, 2009 by Ruffian
