Randall
All 4 of the NFC West projected starting QB's were drafted in the 6th round or later 2 went undrafted. Matt Hasselbeck Kurt Qarner Shaun Hill Marc Bulger
Big John
Warner and Hill weren't drafted. Bulger and Hasselbeck were drafted in the 6th round, but both spent their first season on the practice squad, meaning both were waived and any other team could have signed them. Tford
Interestingly enough, neither of the drafted QBs (Bulger and Hasselbeck) play for the teams that drafted them (NO and GB respectively).

Riffraff
Shaun Hill hasn't won the starting job yet. Supposedly not going to be named until the exhibition games. If Smith somehow wins the job, he obviously was drafted before the 6th round. Not holding my breath for Smith though.
Donutrun Jellies
While it's been a while since the 49ers even made it, the rest of the division has managed to lose a superbowl in the past 8 years, so that says something about these QBs ... The AFC has been a better league lately too. Hasselbeck in the 6th round and Warner un-drafted says a lot about picking QB's early.
bushwacked
While it's been a while since the 49ers even made it, the rest of the division has managed to lose a superbowl in the past 8 years, so that says something about these QBs ... The NFC West has been to 2 Superbowls within the last 4 years. Although I'm not really sure how that reflects on the quality or crappiness of the QBs. Bronco Billy
GB = cradle of QBs Besides acquiring Favre after his first year, in the past 16 years the following QBs have commenced their NFL careers in GB: Warner, Hasselbeck, Rodgers, & Mark Brunnell. You can throw in Aaron Brooks as well, who got a few starts in the NFL. Pretty strong indictment that they're doing something right.

Some of those players they took simply due to value(Brunell and Hasselbeck). They were still there in the 5th and 6th rounds. But then the year Brunell was there Trent Green was picked in the 8th round.
