Nachos

Ordered some nachos at a restaurant today, and to my dismay it came with baked on cheese.

Now, I'm nominally a cheese snob, but when it comes to nachos, I want my stuff processed and possibly made out of some petroleum byproduct. Yourselves?

I'm with you. When baked on real cheese comes back to room temperature, you've got a block of nachos that's no longer finger food. It's just a giant block.

Take 1 part Velveeta and 1 part salsa, microwave it or double boiler it until melty and hot and you've got heaven on a chip every time.

Gotta break away here - I like real cheese - prefereably something sharp on nachos.

I'll eat the other stuff - my mom makes a good one that's just a block of velveeta, a jar of salsa and a can of green chiles. Still, it's hard to beat the tang and texture of real cheese.

I agree, a little shredded sharp cheddar on nachos is awesome. Try it with some hot pulled pork and BBQ sauce for a BBQ nachos that's guaranteed to surprise and please at your next gathering.
