alynch69
I'm in a PPR league that also has 1 pt per QB completion. I cant seem to find any projected stats (on the huddle or any other site) for completions for the any of the QBs. Any ideas on who the top 5-10 qbs should be if they got 1 pt per competion? I was thinking Brees, Warner, Rodgers, Manning and then Brady (or is that too low to drop Brady???)
DMD
in 20 years of FF, I am not sure I have ever seen a league rewarding a QB for a completion. Virtually all top QBs throw for around 11 yards per completion so that stat doesn't really change the rankings much at all, particularly top 12 guys. alynch69
It's actually pretty cool. It makes the value of the QB HUGE (sometimes 50-70 pts a week) Almost everyone drafts their QB by the 3rd rd, instead of waiting (like i do in my other leagues). Tford
I am in a league that awards 1 pt per 3 completions. It heavily weights the QBs in scoring and I am not the biggest fan. Here's the top 30 in scoring for that league last year. http://football11.myfantasyleague.com/2009...=44542&O=08 As far projecting rankings for a league of that nature, it is fairly easy to project points for completions. Teams that throw alot, complete alot. Completion Stats for 2008 Teams like SD like complete alot of long passes tend to be slightly depressed in completions compared to a team like the Redskins that runs a WCO. Would it surprise you that Jason Campbell completed more passes last year than Philip Rivers? Or that Chad Pennington completed more passes than Tony Romo? In a league that that, it provides a small bump to the guys who complete alot of short accurate passes.

WE have one where we have bonuses for completion percentage. Pass Completions per Pass Attempts 0.601-0.650 2 (with a minimum of 12 Pass Completions) Pass Completions per Pass Attempts 0.651-0.700 3 (with a minimum of 12 Pass Completions) Pass Completions per Pass Attempts 0.701-0.750 4 (with a minimum of 12 Pass Completions) Pass Completions per Pass Attempts 0.751-1.000 5 (with a minimum of 12 Pass Completions)

Yes , but what I am understanding is they get the completion points ON TOP of the yardage points. Which would effect the rankings I assume. The amount of points they score should not affect the position you draft a QB, as the points are high for all of em. Unless you are in a 2 QB league the 2nd or 3rd round is too early to draft a QB , IMO.

It does not neccessarily make their value hugh, it makes their potential to score points hugh. And if it skews scoring so much that they are scoring double or more of the other positions, then it just makes it silly.

Bronco Billy
Much more of a fan of rewarding for completions and penalizing for incompletions - then you are rewarding accuracy. Rewarding for completions only means you are rewarding gunslingers.
