SheikYerbuti
WRAPPING FOOD IN BACON IS YUMMY! Tried this today, based on a tapas I had at Jose Andres' Jaleo a few months ago. Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese Toothpicks Pitted Dates Goat Cheese Bacon 1. Soak a bunch of toothpicks in water for at least an hour before starting. 2. Fill a small tipped pastry bag with room temperature goat cheese. 3. Pipe the cheese into the center of the dates. 4. Wrap about a half a slice of bacon around each date, then skewer with a toothpick to keep the bacon on. 5. Bake in a 400 degree oven until bacon is as crispy as you like (between 15 and 25 minutes depending on the thickness of your bacon and how well done you like it). Friggin delicious, impressive, and easy to make. Edited July 8, 2009 by SheikYerbuti
