Any Rookie Thoughts?

Recommended Posts

There was a great thread here last year where the IDP experts gave their thoughts on some of the rookies. I've seen the Top 5 rankings on the Huddle, but was wondering if anyone was going to give any more depth, reasoning or alternate orders?

ETA: If there's an article doing this, sorry, i've missed it.

I think Curry and manaluga will both be beasts at LB, and Brian Cushing could put up the best numbers for rookie LBs in Texas. Zac Diles put up sick numbers out of the SAM LB slot that Cushing has already been given.

At D line I think almost all of the prospect have ? without any "slam dunks". Everette Brown will get opportunities to impress as a situational rusher, Maybin will get PT for the Bills, but I think BJ Raji could develop into a Ty Warren-style of player in Green Bay. Depending on scoring (a lot of my leagues give more points for d-line tackles than for LB tackles) he could be very productive.

My favorite player at DB out of this draft is Louis Delmas. The guy has a nose for the ball, and will be a tackle machine in Detroit with their weak front seven.

Just my 2 cents off the top of my head . . . . I am sure there are some others I am forgetting.

I agree with the exception of Curry. while immensily talented, he will be a fine nfl line backer, but as far as fantay goes, he will suffer the same fate as DJ Williams- always being moved throughout the various LB positions in his career. He is too versatile for his own good, although if he stays ay one postion (ideally MLB) he could be a beast.
