3xcrazy Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Dennis Waszak Jr., of The Associated Press reports New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez outperformed QB Kellen Clemens during the team's scrimmage Thursday, Aug. 6, possibly giving a slight edge in the team's quarterback competition. Head coach Rex Ryan said, "I wanted to see poise. I also wanted to see the accuracy that he showed. He really did show up." Sanchez was 9-for-15, including four dropped passes, for 70 yards while running the first- and second-team offenses. Clemens was 5-for-7 for 26 yards.
