policyvote
Okay, so, look at the top of your browser window. See the "Fantasy Players Network" bar, sporting the FantasyPlayers.com logo? Right. Next to that logo is a dropdown box labelled "Partner Sites". Go ahead and click on that bad boy. Scroll down . . . no, down. WAY down. Further! Okay, click on the little scrollbar box and drag that mofo alllllllll the way to the bottom. You see that site a few from the bottom? "The Lions in Winter"? Yeah, okay, click on that. That, my friends, is my Lions blog. I'm proud to say that fantasyplayers.com, the parent site of the Huddle, has picked my little blog to be an advertising partner! All this really means is that some of the same ads you see on the Huddle will also run on The Lions in Winter. Still, it's a proud moment; to be in any way affiliated with The Huddle--where I've spent a decade ranting and raving about football--is an honor indeed. Thanks to DMD, WW, and all of you for putting up with me over the years; here's hoping you all continue to put up with me for at least another decade! policyvote
Thanks, fellas! I appreciate it. This'll be my first season blogging; I'm trying right now to devise a strategy that doesn't involve me pulling an msaint and going "committed". jaxfactor
As a fan of the defending SB champs, I found myself chuckling before I started reading a blog on the "worst team in NFL history". Now don't get me wrong. I've always liked the Lions. Similar to the Cardinals, I find myself rooting for underdogs and the perennial "bad teams". But I must say that you did an awesome job and I thoroughly enjoyed this read. And to go through what you went through just to get there showed me that you are a true fan indeed. That's refreshing. You have a wonderful family, PV, and I'm actually going to continue to read this throughout the season. I'm a fan. Peace Jax P.S.- You need to buy the wifey an authentic jersey as a kind gesture for going through this. She's the bomb!

WJW
Way to go! FSV's been pushing into the pro team blog area and I'm glad to see one of the long-time huddlers has made our roster. Congrats!!

Shaman
Wow man, that was really good. I'm not a Lions fan but I liked the way you write and describe things. It kept me reading and interested. Great way of finding something positive out of all the obstacles you guys had to go through. Great Job and Good Luck!

You know, you pointed out one of the reasons I started the blog--if you talk about the Lions almost anywhere on the internet that isn't a Lions site, you're either a freak show or a comedy act. If you go to a Lions site, everyone's a jaded, embittered boo bird who actually thinks they're more qualified to own, run, or coach the team than the men who're paid millions to do so. My blog is a place where Lions football can be discussed openly, honestly, and intelligently. Thanks again for the kind words, man; I'm pretty damn proud of my family--and thanks for reading; I hope continue to make it worth your while! Thanks, you guys. You've both been great resources over the years; there's no doubt that I owe a lot of the enjoymemt (and success!) I've found in fantasy football to you, directly or in-. Better yet, you guys made a place where hundreds/thousands of pigskin addicts have come together and found friends. Thanks again, fellas.
