Jimmy Neutron
Brisket for 180 people. How many lbs. per person - a significant part of the crowd will be kids of all ages. I'm guessing I need to plan for a little extra cook time throwing that much cold meat on the pits? I usually run them about 14 hours at 225o F and they come out beautifully. Any other considerations I should make? TIA

SheikYerbuti
Brisket for 180 people. How many lbs. per person - a significant part of the crowd will be kids of all ages. If you'll have sides to go with the brisket, I'm guessing a third of a pound per person will leave no one hungry. Plus with some kids there you can even go a little less. I'm guessing 50-60 pounds should do the trick.
Jimmy Neutron
You need this. I like it, but it's to small for this project.
Bier Meister
i am thinking an average of 8oz pp. kids will eat less, adults will eat more. that should be a good number for you to have some left over as well. 70-90 lbs.
