Savage Beatings
Yep... it's happening. (sigh) Â Favre intentionally wanted to skip Training Camp. Instead of jsut syaing so, he had to play this little game where he pretends to stay retired and then have a change of heart. But the truth is, he is a primadonna who thinks he is above 2-a-days and sleeping in dorms for a couple of weeks. I hate him.. Welcome to the Vikings! BadgerBacker
Sounds like it.  http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/53567762.html  Brett helped the Packers win for 16 seasons. Now in "retirement" he is still helping them.  Is a 39 y.o. QB coming off surgery and starting with a new team really the guy that can afford to miss more than half of camp?  The Vikings start the season with road games at Cleveland and Detroit. CaP'N GRuNGe
http://blogs.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=3183  Favre signing confirmed August 18th, 2009 – 10:30 AM by Chip Scoggins Judd just received a text from a very good source with confirmation that Brett Favre will sign with the Vikings today and possibly could practice this afternoon.  Favre is expected to land in the Twin Cities anytime now.  Yahoo.com’s Jason Cole is reporting that Favre will receive a one-year contact worth $12 million. Here is his report.  Other things we have learned:  Favre is expected to practice with the Vikings today. Practice at Winter Park was originally scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. but could be pushed back. Sources say that Favre is expected to make his first start on Friday night when the Vikings play host to the Kansas City Chiefs.

BillyBalata
Jared Allen said several times, on camera, that if Favre didn't show up for the start of camp, he would not be welcome after that. Let's see if he's a man of his word.

Savage Beatings
Is it really that tough to spend 2 weeks practicing with a brand new team (and it’s not like they would have worked him very hard)? He missed out on building chemistry with these guys. He missed out on learning the offense and the terminology. And now he’s going to waltz in and be handed the starting job. Just really rubs me the wrong way. And I'm just a fan. I would imagine the players that have been there each day earning their money might feel a little bitter about it. Maybe not though. I know they are professionals and they want to win, so maybe they can just look past Favre's special treatment.

Hugh 0ne
I will admit, I thought he gave us a chance at being better and was hoping he would sign. But that was before pre-season. This is just retarded. Favre's and ass, and the Viking organization comes across as a joke. Â Granted, if he wins us a Super Bowl I'll fly to Minnesota and give him a hand job, but aside from that, he's an ass.
FishFreak
I've never been a Favre fan but you have to bump up Bernard Berrian a bit. He should be a 1,000 yard receiver now.

I mean it would have been better even to not come out 3 weeks back and say "i'm done". If he really wasn't sure he could have said he still didn't know about the shoulder.  I'm still not on board the Sagevaris Rosenjackson wagon. I think even still Favre will be a better QB than either of those two. I just wish the whole fiasco was handled much better.  Here's to drafting a real franchise QB next year. Please? Ed Hoyle
Disappointing. But, I think this was a done deal awhile back and the Vikes/Favre had it worked out to announce "done" to miss training camp. I don't think this is cool. He should have been in Training Camp with his new team. The Vikes players have better been involved in the decision...that would stink if their Mgmt. did that to them.  I wish him well, but wish he'd have stayed retired. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.  My niece (The Vikes Fan) will be ecstatic. I think he'll do okay given they are a run first team. If the D/ST plays well, they could win the North. If the D falters, especially against the Pack..the Vikes are in trouble. With that WR Corps they can't win a shoot-out against ARodg/Jennings/Driver/Jones.  My prediction if all pieces fall into play:  NFC North:  1 Vikes/Pack (Vikes have easier Schedule - Tip goes to GB if they win one vs. Vikes) 2. Chicago 3. Detroit  I think the Pack/Vikes tickets will skyrocket now.  If he beats GB twice that could spell the end for TT and MM. Detroit  For a note of finishes, if 2 teams are vying for first, they would finish 1st and 2nd. The next on the list would be 3rd, not 2nd and so on. Rovers
I tought when he signed with the Jets it was a bad thing for the franchise. This is even worse for Minny. Favre divided the Jets locker room, coaches and even the FO. Same thing will happen in Minny.
