He really is "Baby T.O."... check out this video

Brandon Marshall's immature and indifferent behavior during Wednesday's practice is believed to be the reason behind his absence from Thursday's practice.

Marshall was disruptive throughout Wednesday's practice. Showing zero respect for coach Josh McDaniels, Marshall knocked the ball down during wideout drills, punted the ball instead of handing it to the ball boys, and lollygagged throughout. The only thing missing was "poor caddying." Marshall is inching closer to Newsday's Bob Glauber's prediction of a T.O.-like suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. He just torpedoed what little trade value he may have had.

The subject line is a disrespect to T.O. I don't particularly care for him, but he's a guy who gives 110% in practice, all the time.

+1

I was going to say something, but didn't want to open another can of worms...

T.O. has had his share of antics, but nothing as disrespectful as that.

Agreed. I don't remember seeing this type of stuff on a practice field before.

I kept this monster truck aficionado in two leagues and I was pretty sure at the time I was going to regret it...the talent I couldn't ignore. I feel like I am the GM for the Bengals

Love TO.

I used to hate him a lot more than I do now. Guys like Marshall and Plaxico make T.O. look like Marvin freaking Harrison. Basically the guy just has an anger management issue when he's not getting the ball. And he, um, sometimes throws his QBs under the bus and tears teams apart from the inside, all the while denying anything is amiss. Dammit...

Uh, I'm not sure Marvin Harrison is the model citizen you want to use in this analogy.

No charges ever filed. The guy who made the accusation had charges filed against him for lying to police. And he got shot again multiple times a year later. Last I heard he was in critical condition. Just because Harrison's gun was used, doesn't make him guilty. Right?

That is one weird case.

you're calling this thread a disrespect to TO, which is preposterous. dude completely tanked in any way he possibly could while he was ostensibly "part of the team". what marshall is doing is a page straight from the TO playbook.

T.O. came back from a broken leg and played his heart out in the Super Bowl. All of his antics stemmed from wanting the ball and wanting to win, period. Yes, he got completely carried away at times and obviously has trouble controlling his emotions, but I believe he's a good person underneath it all. We certainly haven't seen the laundry list of off-field issues with T.O. that we have with Marshall.

The reason I think Marshall's behavior is so much worse is that he is openly defying authority and tanking it on the field, with pads on. How can you trust someone like that in a game situation? T.O. has always been praised by his teammates for his work ethic and enthusiasm in practice, and willingness to help his teammates improve. That kind of attitude is infectious and makes everyone around him better. I've never had any doubt about T.O. trying his damnedest on the field -- with Marshall, I wonder if he will put in the effort this season if he does even see the field.

Good post.

T.O. has demonstrated his share of antics off the field, made some comments here and there, and has gotten fired up on the sideline... but to be in pads with the rest of your team and openly defy and disrupt everything that's going on, in front of cameras... It's pretty similar to Randy Moss jogging his routes on game day.

Even when T.O. threatened to holdout with the Eagles because his contract was so back-loaded, he still showed up to camp on time.

The "Baby T.O." line is a reference to Brandon Marshall's nickname when he came into the league.

I just thought it was a catchy title..

Also from the Colorado Springs Gazzette.com:

"Safety Brian Dawkins said the matter will be handled internally, and didn't believe Marshall would have a hard time being welcomed back to the team.

"I don't think so," Dawkins said. "Things will be worked out the way they need to be worked out in time."

This isn't Dawkins' first time around a suspended wide receiver. He was in Philadelphia in 2005 when Terrell Owens was suspended after being a year-long spectacle.

"A lot crazier with T.O," Dawkins said. "A lot crazier."

again, do you not remember what happened with TO in philly? his antics stemmed not from wanting the ball or wanting to win, but wanting a new contract to "feed his family". he showed up to training camp and made it a circus. I am pretty sure his first suspension from the eagles that season was for acting up AT PRACTICE, exactly like marshall. it is truly the exact same thing....both guys under contract but wanting a renegotiation, trying to force a renegotiation while avoiding steep fines and such by showing up to training camp, but acting like a jackass every step of the way.

and no off the field issues? do you also not remember the moron attempting suicide and then blaming his publicist?
