Crazysight
I know he's only been playing against scrubs, but still: 20 carries this preseason for 124 yards. Last year (rookie season) he had a 3.7 ypc average with 5 touchdowns on only 74 carries.
Crazysight
When i say "keeper-value" i'm of course referring to deeper leagues.
mlvc
IMO he only has value if 3 pats RBs get hurt or he gets traded to a team who could use him, like Sea
steveack
Really like him as a player, I think he's got a boat load of talent but he's in an awful situation with that huge rbbc.
Crazysight
Last night Benjarvus Green-Ellis: 29 carries, 125 yards, 3 Touchdowns, long of 32. Also 4 receptions for 22 yards. With 3 ancient runningbacks on the roster and the only younger one being the happy-footed Maroney I'm really thinking he could be the Pats lead back for the future. Caveman_Nick
I was asked this question by someone a month ago. My response has not changed. He's the 5th running back on a team notorious for unpredictable RBBC. I do not think that "unpredictable" is a good thing in this instance. If you have roster space and nothing better to do with it, it can't hurt, but I would be careful who I cut to keep BJGE.
Crazysight
He's not necessarily the 5th runningback, and, again, I'm talking about keeper value in dynasty leagues, not what his value is this year. He is certainly not the 5th runningback out of the bunch to have as a keeper as 3 of the other 4 will no doubt be retired in a year or two. Balzac
Unless Beli resigns/retires, I don't think that any NEP RBs have a lot of keeper value. It's become part of their plan to throw different looks at teams and I don't see that changing. I guess it's possible that if one back vastly outperforms the others then the Pats could go with a more (or less, these days) traditional single back system - I just don't see that happening with BGE.
