Atlanta Cracker
They just mentioned it on the ATL/SD broadcast. ETA and all they really said was that he could miss some time. Edited August 30, 2009 by Atlanta Cracker
bushwacked
Yup, got sacked and hurt his ankle (first play of the game methinks). Lined up to take the next snap, called a timeout and limped off the field.

WashingtonD
Simple prediction ....we'll hear the announcers say "and Cassell takes the sack" a lot this year
Chief Dick
I saw the play. Hard to tell. Looked like a knee at first glance. Was in a draft at the time, so not sure.

Crazysight
Great. I have Cassel and I don't even know who his backup would be if he's out.
tazinib1
I've been trying to trade Cassell all year. I can't even get a P&B sandwich for his butt now.
AtomicCEO
Still waiting on the MRI. I don't believe in MRIs. If it ain't broken, just rub some dirt on it and get back in the game.

Or if you are Jack Youngblood you just rub some dirt on the broken part and continue to play.
TheCMB
Didn't Thigpen do okay last year?? If he has to step in for a couple games wondering how this will affect LJ?

I've posted here before wondering why Thigpen was'nt the starter this year. I don't really think he's a step down from Cassel.

LOL, I've been arguing with friends that think Cassel is some kind of rising star QB just because of the numbers he put up last year. *Maybe* he is, I just want to see him prove it first other than one year with the Pats in that system with that talent around him. I thought he did pretty well considering the state of their running game. Obviously you follow their situation alot closer than me...but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Thigpen this year if Cassel's gonna miss time. He has trouble taking the snap from center, and his accuracy is terrible. His completion percentage last year was like 55%.

Seahawks21
While Cassell might help the Cheifs win more games, Thigpen is the better fantasy quarterback. He throws the ball downfield, and runs around to help create big plays. Bad decisions don't always hurt your fantasy stock.
