Sure their is a lot of distraction and tension surrounding Marshall. But when it comes down to actually playing the game, assuming he takes the field, what do people expect from him. He's a low risk/high reward player now that he is dropping in the rankings with all of his shenanigans but McD had encouraging words before the start of the game about getting Marshall back and playing for the start of the season.

It's obvious this team doesn't move the ball very well without him so far this preseason.

A lot of people are not making that assumption.

McGruber says a lot of stuff. I tend not to believe much at all.

New coach, new quarterback, new system. I wouldn't say low risk, high reward. I would say moderately high risk, mediocre reward. Even once he gets back, it's not like he's going to have great chemistry with Orton (or Simms). I personally scratch him off my draft sheet before the draft even begins just on his prima donna attitude about his contract, let alone all his team issues and suspension.

Greatly talented head cases can vanish for a year or two. Brandon Marshall's showing all those signs. What positive factors (that are still in place) would lead you to want this guy on your team? Nearly everything about his situation is worse this year and mostly dramatically worse. Stay away from this turd.

I may be in this boat alone, but I am expecting a solid season from marshall as he knows that if he does not put up DECENT, not great numbers, he will miss that long term lucrative deal. I am expecting over 1,000 yards and 8 TDs. Also, Denver is going to be awful this year so you know he will get a ton of these yards in garbage time when defenses give up yards in front of them.

Just had a draft. I needed a wr. was torn b/t marshall and Royal. went with marshall. crossing my fingers.

Wow. I'da taken Royal in a snap.

Hope your gamble works out. . .I took Marshall as my WR3 in the 7th round of my local, and took plenty of backup in case he doesn't pan out.

Believe me, i'm questioning the decision. I just figure sometimes you have to gamble to try to win. we'll see how it works out.

Given his history of poor selfish self-destructive decisions, I'm not putting even odd of him coming back to the team with an attitude that earns him a lot of playing time.

As a Denver fan I hope I'm wrong... but who cares, we're gonna lose this year anyway.

I think Marshall is going to continue to do everything and anything he can to get traded. That's not good news for BM owners - and I do own him in a dynasty league.

I think his production this year comes down to how far McHoody is willing to roll up his sleeves & duke it out to get his own way. Given how badly he has been publicly roasted in the Cutler fiasco, I'd guess that he's not willing to take another black eye on this one. The risk on Marshall is starting to become astronomical this year. In a staring contest between two dumbasses, only the FFers are going to lose.
