Slugs3511 Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 The topic is simple....With Drew Brees, Moore, Colston, Shockey, Looks like Bell, and whoever it is..... the offense seems to be clicking anyway, so, I know that these two will help, however, is Bush ever gonna play? Payton says, he's hopeful he'll play against Miami, but he still wants to be smart.... If you get a lead, do you pull him? Just trying to figure out if Payton is playing a game like Belicheck in keeping teams reluctant to plan for these two or if their surgeries, injuries, and inablity to practice are that serious? Payton has at times kept players in to a fault and has been accused before of running up a score, so I wouldn't expect him to pull Bush if he's healthy. I think he just wants to be sure he doesn't get hurt before the season actually starts. Bush says he's at or near 100% & reports have said he's looked better than ever on the practice field, so I wouldn't read too much into Payton wanting to keep him off the field right now. I picked him up in 2 drafts of BDITH in the 7th round because he had dropped that far and I couldn't pass on him any longer despite having needs at other positions.
