Shaman
Sorry if it has been posted before http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Biggs-Source-says-Chicago-RB-Jones-is-out-for-season.html Chicago Bears running back Kevin Jones will miss the entire season after suffering a torn ligament in his left ankle Thursday night at Soldier Field. Jones jumped near the sideline on his seventh carry of the game and came down awkwardly on his left ankle. X-rays were negative but an MRI performed this morning showed the damage. He will require surgery and the rehabilitation process is expected to take eight to 10 months. He re-signed with the Bears in March, getting a $3.5 million, two-year contract to come back as the complement to starter Matt Forte. Jones suffered a torn ACL with the Detroit Lions in 2007. This means that Forte will now be backed by Garrett Wolfe and Adrian Peterson.
Savage Beatings
I was kind of hoping he would have a nice comeback season this year. I don't own him in any leagues, but thought it would be cool to see if he could get back to form.
westvirginia
This guy is Lee Suggs all over again. Incredible talent that can't stay healthy.
bpwallace49
I had high hopes for him as a valuable handcuff that has pass-catching ability. Oh well . . .
DMD
On the plus side, all the Forte owners just got a chance to see 2008 repeat since the Bears were planning on toning down Forte by using Jones. Now they are back to no one else other than Wolfe and Peterson who really do not count.
TurfPimp
Sad news. What might have been for KJ? Just couldn't stay healthy.
tazinib1
I was almost positive somebody was going to leave the "Bears" part out of the headline, creating instant panic by reading it.
piratesownninjas
One of the few non packers in the NFC North that I somewhat root for. Another round of bad luck for the guy. I'd like to say I hope he can recover, but what life is he on now? How many more recoveries can he make? I didn't see what happened, but heard he was hit late, while very out of bounds. Dowzer
so then...I've got 2nd position in a 12 team non PPR draft on Tuesday, I was 100% committed to MJD, now I'm leaning towards Forte
rocknrobn26
I had high hopes for him as a valuable handcuff that has pass-catching ability. Oh well . . . Nod. i am bummed. On the plus side, all the Forte owners just got a chance to see 2008 repeat since the Bears were planning on toning down Forte by using Jones. Now they are back to no one else other than Wolfe and Peterson who really do not count. Wolfe is too small! 5'7" (on a brick with tippy toes) AP has to be the better choice here. Mind you I like Wolfe, but he's gonna get killed. JMHO. Actually, as a Forte owner, I was hoping that he'd get spelled a little. If Forte goes down, who's the handcuff? Some suggested Wolfe, but I'm hesitant since he's small for a RB at 187#. So what say you all-knowing DMD... Wolfe, AP, McKie, FA pickup? McKie is a Fullback, blocking more than anything, w/ an occasional goal line run. Wolfe...read above...YES too small. The only guy i see backing up Forte now is AP. With a healthy Jones, AP is a fart in the wind. But circumstances prevail. I don't like this, because I thought that Jones was a perfect compliment to Forte. AP is not. AP has the job IMHO.....but not sure he can deliver. Time will tell!
bpwallace49
I actually expect the Bears to be carefully monitoring the final cuts from the NFL. There are some guys that did very well in the preseason that are more than worth a roster spot as a backup RB.

DMD
My guess is that they bring someone else in - maybe someone who is cut by another team here at the 53 man roster limit. They have to but whoever it is will not know the offense or be much quality obviously.
Randall
That makes 3 on IR in one league-KJ, Ingram and Andre Brown.

irish
I don't think there is a handcuff. IF Forte goes down it turns into a full blown RBBC disaster. I agree with this and now will just drop Jones and add another high upside guy that I can find on waivers.
