RokoMotion
Now that Stewart is looking less likely to have a breakout season, how high does DeAngelo go? I play in a league that overvalues TDs and reduces the value of receptions. In that case, is it crazy to rank DeAngelo top 3-5?

BeeR
I took him 1.07 (PPR) torn between him and LT. who knows. Doesn't catch but good OL and schedule.

Seahawks21
I took him at 2 in my non-PPR league. Very pleased. 15 TD mimimum barring injury.
spider321
These are the top scoring non-ppr running backs each year since 2000. Notice a pattern? 2008 DeAngelo Williams 2007 LaDainian Tomlinson 2006 LaDainian Tomlinson 2005 Shaun Alexander 2004 Shaun Alexander 2003 Priest Holmes 2002 Priest Holmes 2001 Marshall Faulk 2000 Marshall Faulk Edited September 5, 2009 by spider321
Sugar Magnolia
So, I took him at 1.04 in a 1 pt per reception league Where does that leave me?
spider321
So, I took him at 1.04 in a 1 pt per reception league Where does that leave me? With a guy who had over 1600 yards, 20 TD's, and no competition for carries this year. Edited September 5, 2009 by spider321
Avernus
With a guy who had over 1600 yards, 20 TD's, and no competition for carries this year. he's more explosive when he doesn't carry the ball as much....and having no competition for carries is a bit optimistic.....or not optimistic.. spider321
he's more explosive when he doesn't carry the ball as much..... Actually, the opposite is true. In the second half of last season, DWill ran for over 100 yards in 4 of the 5 games that Stewart had 9 carries or less. DWill also scored 11 TD's in those same 5 games. bushwacked
So, I took him at 1.04 in a 1 pt per reception league Where does that leave me? A reach, but I've come full circle where I think DW3 is going to fine this year, even in PPR leagues. I think the trendy downfall projection of DW3 is more trendy feeling than statistically based. Sure, he won't score you 20 TDs this year, but the performance last year was historically high no matter how you slice it.

BillyBalata
Doesn't catch but good OL and schedule. Not sure I agree with that part...at least to end the FF season. Weeks 12-16....Jets, TBay, NE, MN, Giants.
piratesownninjas
-1 Truth be told, in a PPR league I've got he and Forte at 1A and 1B.

bpwallace49
I got Dwill at 1.12 in a league that has .5 ppr for RBS, 1 ppr for WRs. It is the Cork It league for bottles of wine. I was very happy.

WaterMan
With a guy who had over 1600 yards, 20 TD's, and no competition for carries this year. Wrong. Fox has historically given the 2nd RB a good amount of carries. My guess on who would get Stewart's carries if he can't play would be Mike Goodson. He has looked good in the preseason. Not to mention they have two more RBs on their roster after those 3, so there's PLENTY of competition.
spider321
Thanks Waterman!!!! The fact that YOU think I'm wrong lets me know that I am right. DWill will have backups to give him "breathers". He will not have competition. Edited September 5, 2009 by spider321
BearBroncos
+1 A 30 year old back, coming back from a pretty good injury versus a strong, young back that can only improve on his season
Avernus
Thanks Waterman!!!! The fact that YOU think I'm wrong lets me know that I am right. DWill will have backups to give him "breathers". He will not have competition. the fact is that he will be sharing with 2 other RB's... how does a guy who had 20 TD's last year have competition? however, carolina will be a RBBC, which is GOOD for DeAngelo....
