WashingtonD
Just saw that the Patriots flipped Defensive Lineman Richard Seymour over to the Raiders for a future first round draft pick.... I live up here in Boston and hadn't heard any rumors of this leading up to the move, so pretty big suprise WD

Dr. Rock
It's a 2011 first round pick. Also, someone might want to put a suicide watch on Seymour...

piratesownninjas
Also, someone might want to put a suicide watch on Seymour... It's common knowledge that Seymour never fully bought into the team first philosophy, and is far more concerned with getting his money. This is the best possible destination for someone wanting Albert Haynesworth type money. Al's going to pay him.

Al's going to pay him. well..i dunno if id say he never fully bought into the team first philosophy....thats pretty unfair....but he does want the biggest deal possible to finish off his career....good for him...i hope he gets it...the guy was a professional through and through...the first 1st rounder in the belichick era....well worth it pats obviously deciding theyd rather pay wilfork down the road....and the conversion to 4-3 is almost complete....lookout pat and kevin williams...here comes wilfork and ron brace
Sleeping King
It's not just Wilfork. They need to sign Mankins too. Trading Seymour opened up nearly 4 million in cap. One of those should be done in a few weeks.

kpholmes
ETA: For what it's worth, this is actually a good move in the eyes of Raider fans. You have to figure Al Davis will still be running the team in 2011, and would have flubbed the pick anyways, and then overpaid him... Shorttynaz
Al Davis makes another great move. Who's he take his advice from - his long lost brother, Keith Richards??? Edited September 6, 2009 by Shorttynaz
