In other news, water is discovered to be wet.

At least the Lions are making the right choice. Stafford looks to be pretty polished for a rookie so far and Culpepper's best days were on the Loveboat years ago. The Lions proved taking a first round wideout every year didn't turn the corner but maybe a franchise QB will. As long as they never fix their defense all will be well in fantasy football.

Expecting the Saints to take a safety? :D

Final play of the game, after Malcolm Jenkins's fourth interception of the game is ruled down at the Saints one-yard line, Brunell gracefully takes a knee in the end zone.

I have Stafford on my team as my #2 and I am thinking long and hard about starting him over Shaub in week 1. I am in a TD only league and feel Stafford could throw two (or more) against a suspect Saints defense late int he game when they are down by 30. It's a thought for sure.

Not sure I would overlook the Gregg Williams run Saints defense. I am not saying they will be the #1 D but I saw improvement in the preseason.
