As long as they win baby! Just win!

Defense looks awesome today... considering that it's almost all new players with a new scheme. This year is not going to completely suck!

Question tho: does anyone know why the scheme changed on CIN's scoring drive?

someone reminded Nolan he was in Denver and they were supposed to suck

on a serious note I have read a few that have questioned why they stopped bringing pressure...i didnt see the game so cant comment on what they did or changed

nolan is a very good game day coordinator. talentwise, the defense isn't very good. cincy hurt themselves a lot, with penalties and such, and they were still able to move the ball a fair amount of the time. the broncos D is still going to get lit up in a fair number of games this year, but yeah, I do think nolan is a heckuva coordinator.

but how frigging bad did the offense look? good god. this is a team with a dominant, young o-line, extremely talented WRs, and they just spend a high first rounder on a RB. last year they were a top offense in the league. but simply replace cutler and shanahan with orton and mcdaniels, and the look putrid. against the []ibengals[/i]. and you know what? I think, I am starting to really think the coaching downgrade is an even bigger factor than the QB downgrade.

DEN got one of its six winnable games in the bag. CIN's coaches ought to be ashamed of themselves. Cedric Benson was looking like a credible starting RB, DEN gets no pass rush to speak of whatsoever all game long, and they can't do better than a last minute TD? That's freakin' terrible right there folks.

And the lack of discipline on the Stokley play? How difficult is it to realize that one guy ought to be deeper that any Bronco player at all times in a situation like that? Tipped ball, missed tackles, hook & ladder - whatever. One of the CIN DBs needed to concede the play on the ball to stay back and make sure nothing unusual happened. Instead, all 3 DBs go to the ball - and there you have a loss saved from the firm grasp of victory.

Well, McHoody got his first W, despite having a rep as an O genius and whose team putting up only 2 FGs in the first 59 minutes after taking over the reins of what was an offensive machine last year. I saw a lot more bad in this loss than good - but I'm admittedly bias against this little #####.
