MistaWrite
Ok, ok, I know, it's week 1 and crazy stuff is bound to happen. But when Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Brandon Marshall (AND Eddie Royal), Larry Fitzgerald & Anquan Boldin (so far at 5:25 pm) Roddy White and others can have their stats DWARFED by the likes of Patrick Crayton and Brandon Stokely - something something just ain't right! Your thoughts?

Your thoughts? actually it happens all the time...the difference is that the studs aren't consistently bad....they are for the most part consistently good at a position where consistency isnt anything to sneeze at. joeyb7
at least some of the players you mentioned had QB's that had awful days....not like they weren't getting open.
'canes2004
I think it's funny that people still fall for the" first week panic" mode even to this day.
Shorttynaz
I think it's funny that people still fall for the" first week panic" mode even to this day. I was thinking the same thing. It's WEEK ONE!

byron2112
Wonder how many people are gonna run out and grab Stokley based on that voodoo we saw today. :p
ROYALWITCHEESE
It's the nature of the position. WRs, even the top ones, put up several stinkers a year. If you want to see someone deliver, watch Moss tomorrow night...
kpholmes
Wonder how many people are gonna run out and grab Stokley based on that voodoo we saw today. :p Every shmo who plays fantasy football and doesn't watch the games.
Medal of Honor
WR is the most inconsistent position in fantasy football. Your studs will put up turds every now and then. The point is that studs do it FAR less often than somebody like Crayton (who will have 3 or 4 good games all season).
cre8tiff
Not Stokely, but Henderson looks attractive on my WW. ....must...resist....impulse....Berrian....will....come....around... ..must....resist.....aww.....f0ck....it.... The Irish Doggy
Wonder how many people are gonna run out and grab Stokley based on that voodoo we saw today. :p Yeah, I hear Denver practiced the "get the other team to tip it to Stokley with 30 seconds left" play quite a bit this last week. It's sure to be gold the rest of the season.
Menudo
I base all of my fantasy decisions on week 1. I mean it is the only evidence we have thus far, so, it has to be a preview of what is to come. I've got the following trades out there in multiple leagues, I'm crossing my fingers that some sucker goes for one of them: I'm offering Andre Johnson for. Patrick Crayton Larry Fitzgerald for Mark Clayton and Steve Smith for Brandon Stokley
BearBroncos
I think it's funny that people still fall for the" first week panic" mode even to this day. I love those people because the first thing they do with the waiver opens is dump those players thinking that one guy that no one has heard of, ever, is going to get 4 or 5 touches the rest of the season. That's where I get some easy pickups

BearBroncos
I had a crappy first week, but fortunately so did the other 3 players I played this week. My other league though.....whoa, that one there is no saving grace. Next week will be better!
WaterMan
Where's that WR/WR FF draft thread again... WR/QB doesn't look too bad.

The distribution is less, and their production is more susceptible to uncontrollable circumstances. 2008 was an anomaly, imo. While the Power House WR's are here to stay, you are going to experience lulls, as the standard deviation is far greater too.
