Mr Hammock
Warner drops back, he is sacked. The 49ers are 1-0.

Medal of Honor
I wouldn't call it an upset. I had picked the 9ers.
Chavez
I wouldn't call it an upset. I had picked the 9ers. Yeah - playing over their heads in the playoffs aside, it isn't as though the 9ers and Cards were all that far apart in the standings last season. giantsfan
This year will NOT be like last year for Zona. They will need to run more. There is no way a magical season like last year with their passing O will happen again. Is it me or did they look MUCH better in the drive they ran and had Beanie in? Hightower is not good. The guy is always WAY under 4 YPC. Yes he caught passes today...who cares. They were a bunch of short passes because SF was all over the WR's deep. Just my honest opinion. Last years style will not cut it for Zona. They need to run some IMO.
STL Fan
On that last play, it looked like Warner fumbled and if so the ball went out of bounds with :01 left on the clock. Should they have had one more play? I don't care, I'm just sayin'

BeeR
Hightower is not good. The guy is always WAY under 4 YPC. Yes he caught passes today...who cares. Both teams did, I'm sure. I don't recall if he was or is a capable pass-catcher before, but if it turns out he is better in a Larry Centers-type role and Wells fills in as a legit runner, it could give teams fits. One week does not a season make. I just can't believe Warner put up almost 300 freaking yds in that pathetic game, wt*o?

Hightower under 2 YPC. 3. Last year 2.8 YPC by Hightower. 4. The one drive they drove down and scored a TD was with Wells in the back field. And it was the one drive he actually got a handful of carries. And the Cards ran. 5. 44 passes to 15 runs WILL NOT WORK game after game. Did Zona forget how they got to the SB? 6. This is SF at home. Not a dominant team on the other side.
mojo chiefs
Zona had to many penalties that killed drives. Had a fuble return for a td but they whistled the play dead. Hochellii anyone? It was a poor ref called game and zona and 49ers look awful.
gilthorp
After yesterday's game I need to start questioning if Warner's eyesight deteriorated over the off season.
