Uh - MAYBE the Bears shoulda traded for Marshall or Boldin. THOSE are difference makers. Shannahan's system and the receivers made Cutler good.

Not saying he's on the same page as Orton, but seriously. You need a WR you know that can make a play. The Bears just don't have the experience there at the position.

Yeah, that was the rub of the trade - they're asking Cutler to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t at WR in Chicago. GB shut down Forte and Olsen and the inexperience at WR did the Bears in.

And it will continue to until the do something about it. The saying is defense wins championships, but you need to score to have your defense hold a lead.

Gonna be a tougher game next week for the Bears fans. Playing the Steelers. Gonna be tough to start the season 0-2 and more than likely 2 games back to start the season.

That sums it up.

So, how's the trade? A young franchise QB? I'll start with that any day.

Beating Cincy on a miracle play and talking trash about it? Funny stuff.

No doubt.

No WR's and Cutler forcing it to Bennett is dumb.

Good Call Chavez.

Just having a little fun. You all are WAY to serious. A new hobby might help.

Like I said, just having fun. You need to get a life.

It's all good Jokey.

From my perspective, there is a receiving corp here that blows. Any type of improv due to pass rush or movement out of the pocket was a disaster...WR's not in the places he thought they'd be, and other times he forced crap that he had no business doing.

Beats having Grossman/Orton or the long list of 20+ QB's we've had in the last decade. You'd have to be here to understand.

CHI still robbed DEN. Cutler settled down and looked great in the 2nd half right up to Knox cutting his route off at the end of the game. Let's not forget that Cutler is still in his learning curve.

The NFL is a marathon, not a sprint. You want to thump your chest because your guy ran the first 100 yds the fastest? That's great. Let's see where everything stands once the entire mile is run.

Don't chalk that up as a loss for the Bears just yet. The Packers offensive line is better than the Steelers, so, Ben could be dodging all night. I look for another low-scoring game, punch-in-the-mouth type of game that could go either way.
