Dcat
Will Sproles retain his 3rd down back status or does he graduate up to starter?
whomper
Per cbs Darren Sproles, RB SD News: Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice all week because of a lingering right ankle injury, and the team has since ruled him out for Week 2 vs. the Ravens. Darren Sproles is expected to start and Michael Bennett is expected to aid in the rushing duties against the Ravens. Analysis: Sproles has played very well in games he's been forced into starting, and he's even posted nice totals against great defenses in challenging games: Last year at Pittsburgh in the Divisional Playoffs, Sproles had 91 yards receiving including a 62-yard touchdown scamper to go with 15 rush yards on 11 carries. So he's done this before. Remember this: Sproles is small in size but if the Chargers use him on the outside edges and on screens, he could break a couple of runs or catches and make things interesting. Consider Sproles a No. 3 Fantasy RB for this week's game (a little higher in PPR leagues). Per mfl rotowire (RotoWire) Sproles looks set to start this week against Baltimore with LaDainian Tomlinson listed as out on the injury report. Analysis: Sproles has a tough matchup but should get the bulk of carries this week. Look for Michael Bennett to suit up this week as well, to take some of the heat off Sproles.
