mitpdub
Not a single ball thrown his way. All Gore today, with the occasional toss to Bruce.
isleseeya
This makes me sick ...in a close game and getting a zero from Morgan may cost me the week
Gopher
Not really any reason for them to throw the ball downfield, with the two long TD runs by Gore. Most of the passes I've seen (been flipping back and forth between the SF/SEA game and SD/BAL) have been dump offs to Gore, Coffee, and Norris (FB), as well as a few short passes to the TE's. Bruce appears to be their "possession" WR... I know there was a lot of talk about playing the younger guys in pre-season, but as long as they're in the hunt for the division, Bruce will be a factor. He's got the most experience, and they need him on the field. Not to mention, Crabtree's situation and Brandon Jones' injury has made them a little thinner at WR than they initially expected to be. They've basically got Bruce, Battle, and the two youngsters in Morgan and Jason Hill. I think Morgan will be a factor at times, this year, but he's going to be less consistent than Bruce... more of a big-play guy, not the guy they're going to go to regularly when they need a first down. This week, all they're worried about is not turning it over and running out the clock.
