With the exception of Mebane and MAYBE Tatupu, all the rest mentioned have missed games a few times before. This is starting to become a pattern. At which point do you cease to become surprised, and just say that this team is getting old, and has a bunch of guys that are injury prone? I didn't buy into all the talk that last year was a complete fluke and this year there would be a magic wand waved and all these players would be younger and more durable this season. Walt is old and breaking down physically. Matt is old and breaking down physically. Leroy Hill, even when he plays, is always dinged up with one thing or another. Spencer seemingly has missed half of his career. Locklear misses bunches here and there. Trufant usually plays, but has had hammies and the wrist. Deion Branch is Erik Bedard. He just doesn't want to play. I can't believe he is still on the roster. This team needs new life and a new attitude. Over the next two offseasons, hopefully they wise up and rebuild, or at least re-tool the key positions of a football team. My fear is that they will wait a few years too many to cut bait on some of the veterans and the Seahawks will be below average for a good handful of years before their front office realizes what is going on.
