So coach Jim Zorn revealed this afternoon that bone spurs in running back Clinton Portis's ankles have been causing him pain since the preseason.

Portis wasn't made available for comment today. He'll be listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but Zorn believes he'll play.

"I expect Clinton to be out there ripping around," Zorn said.

Zorn, when he was pressed about Portis's condition yesterday, said: "He has got a couple little spurs that are irritating. No swelling. It's just hard. He needs to rest them."

CBS is reporting he may not play. Any homers out there with info?

This would be a true tragedy with his matchup against the Lions this week.

Considering his porous performance against the Rams last week I'd say maybe him not playing would be a blessing in disguise! If he can't run on the Lambs he can't run on anybody!

:D

And to think that you were really pushing Portis this off-season. You got into a fight with Keggerz when he said that Portis was done. You were all, "no he isn't! He's got a lot left in the tank and is only getting warmed up!"

I know it was the other way around...

:D

Yeah silly me  That fella' really knows his football. Anyone with a brain cell and any knowledge of football knows NFL feature backs have a limited shelf life. I think I'll try fantasy tiddley winks :D
