Introducing IDP to a league

Recommended Posts

I'm new to IDP but already realize that I like it better than only using D/ST.

I want to convince my other league that we should use IDP's next year.

I was thinking that maybe the first year introducing one DB, DL, and LB - to give people a taste and then increase it from there (this league is slow to change).

I know it probably varies - but typically how many IDP spots do leagues have that have been using IDP's for a while?

i think if you just use 1-1-1 you wont do much to win over your league...by starting 1-1-1 you basically will have studs on the WW all year long...at a minimum go with 2-2-2 and maybe add a flex.....most of my leagues are either 2-3-2 with a flex or full on 1-2DT, 2DE, 3-4LB 2CB 2S...but i think if you want to introduce them keep DE/DT together as DL and CB/S together as DB and go for a min of 2-2-2

you will also need to come up with a scoring system...i prefer tackle heavy and that is the type of scoring that we use here for our articles
