i_am_the_swammi
Just wondering if any news yet as to whether or not he will return week 5? Original timeline was 3-4 weeks....this will be the 4th week. While nothing has been made official, the general assumption at Reid's press conferences last week, talk radio, and anything in the paper/online says that he is expected to start against the Bucs Sunday. Ditto for Westbrook.
RJV
IMO the next 2 games he should still rest. Next week is TB and then OAK I believe. No reason to put him in on these 2 teams, they are awful.

RJV
If he's healthy.....why would you rest him? At 100% sure play him but recovering from a broken rib isn't easy. Breathing becomes a issue, it hurts like hell. My thoughts are that Kolb has look very good, why not let him get the reps on these really bad teams? I would want McNabb at 100% but even after 4 weeks, its still questionable.

I'd much rather McNabb get his rhythm back and throw for 300/3 TDs against the Bucs and/or Raiders, versus missing 6 weeks, and come back against a tough defense like the Giants. He's played 3 quarters this year....do you really want his next action to be a critical divisional game against the GMen?
Azazello1313
I need him to get his ass out there. I have him in two leagues, and in both I somehow ended up with trent edwards as his backup. guh.

Brentastic
I own McNabb in my local big money, thankfully I have Eli as a backup. My concern is that Reid will somehow justify Kolb remaining as starter since he has played so well. I know it's not the popular choice and I hope I'm wrong, but this is exactly how backups become starters and it seems they have been trying to push McNabb out the last few years. I'm actually trying to trade for Brady because of this fear (Brady owner had DeSean Jackson).

i_am_the_swammi
My concern is that Reid will somehow justify Kolb remaining as starter since he has played so well. Kolb got rocked against the Saints (and basically committed the game-changing play with his INT just after halftime, one of 3 he threw). He then was able to get a win against the Chiefs , who haven't beaten anyone. I agree he's gotten better with the extra reps, but he is in no way, shape or form ready to play for a prolonged period at a Pro-Bowl level. if McNabb is healthy, there is absolutely no way Kolb starts. I hope you're right. I don't really pay attention to ints but I know his yardage and TDs have been up there. Again, hope you are right being a McNabb owner. slinger
if you think that's bad, I have him in two leagues as well. and both leagues my backup to him is Hasselbeck. Yeah! I'm also a McNabb and Hasselbeck owner....with Kolb as my 3rd QB. I know your pain.... I did drop Hasselbeck to pick up a starting QB for Week 4 Edited October 5, 2009 by slinger
gardenthug
I picked up Flacco after his big week 1 and McNabbs rib injury. It's going to be tough to sit Flacco if McNabb might not play a full game.
