Mark5
There may have been posts already about Gruden but I don't get to surf on here as much but I really like when he breaks down plays like "Z slant 42" or whatever the termanology of all those plays are. So far a thumbs up from me. The best part is he doesn't talk about having so and so player on his fantasy team every Monday Night
MnLefty
The best part is he doesn't talk about having so and so player on his fantasy team every Monday Night No he just talks about all the guys he used to have on his REAL teams. I do like him though... dude knows football and is passionate about it. The way he talks about it makes me think he'll be back on the sidelines again in the next couple years. He would DEFINITELY be an upgrade in Dallas over the Pillsbury Doughboy. He's exactly what they need. A no BS, in your face, passionate coach. Chargerz
he was so far up Favre, he is now mocha colored. No kiddin'!! I thought Madden had man-love for Favre, but Chucky carried it to a whole new level!!
Outshined
No kiddin'!! I thought Madden had man-love for Favre, but Chucky carried it to a whole new level!! I think you have to give him the benefit of the doubt since he coached him and helped mold him. I thought it was pretty cool when they showed plays when he was younger (that Robert Brooks Pass) and then the TD pass he threw to Rice on how identical it was. Qball86
Chucky is an upgrade, but then again eating liver is an upgrade to sardines. Having said that I do like what Chucky brings to the table over Cornwhole, football experience. What I'd like to see them do is go with Tirico and one other as the mainstays each year and have the third seat be a rotating one year only seat for ex head coaches or players. I like Chuicky but don't want to see him year after year. Each year they could bring in one ex-NFL coach or player to add that experience to the booth. It's ok if they're not great broadcasters and maybe if they all know going into the season its one year only, more would be willing to sign-on. Question is who can you put with Tirico to form a solid duo that will know how to bring out the experience of the "expert" seat?
CowboysDiehard
Agreed, but he uses "What <Insert Name> brings to the table is .... " a little bit too much. Maybe we can get a drinking game going with that one.

Question is who can you put with Tirico to form a solid duo that will know how to bring out the experience of the "expert" seat? Really? See...this is what I don't get. Tirico is supposed to be the play-by-play guy......not the color analyst. He's usually too busy bantering and inserting colorful quips to tell anyone what's actually going on out on the field. He'll key in on one guy and tell you everything that guy does. What about the other 21 guys on the field, Mike? Who the heck made the tackle? Is it 3rd and 7? Who knows..... See.....the TV guys have forgotten one thing. Sure......it's a visual medium.....but you should be able to glance away from the set and STILL know what's going on. Or walk into the kitchen and hear what just happened on that play. They've forgotten their radio roots. They've gotten as dependent on instant replay as the refs have. And someone take those telestrators away from them...please. As a booth guy, he's not the most annoying.....but I certainly don't think he's the cream of the crop either. Why would you want to keep Tirico and rotate Gruden out?
yo mama
Am I the only one who thinks Gruden sounds a little too much like Dennis Miller (when Dennis Miller isn't overacting).
Cunning Runt
No kiddin'!! I thought Madden had man-love for Favre, but Chucky carried it to a whole new level!! I honestly could not take listening to Gruden/Jaworski go on and on and on and on....... about Favre and how great he is. I actually changed the channel when Minnesota was on offense. Waaay overboard.
CaP'N GRuNGe
Give me Mike Mayock. (Though Chucky is pretty good too.)

eags
they have favre on the injury list but said it is not game related. a tow truck was seen after the game pulling jaws and chuckie out of his azz! and if cornboy was still in the booth he would have been the first one in. he sucks on pti too. the only thing he and that other moran wilbon does is copy what they do on around the horn.
