giantsfan
That is literally TWO games Brown has cost them at the GL. And yes I understand that Schaub really blew it with the int for a TD, but for the 2nd time in 5 games Brown failed in the last seconds at the GL. I also get that Slaton has not been tearing it up, and he did get stopped on 2nd & 3rd and 1 earlier (which to me also says the OL needs to block better for both guys in short yardage), but the guy has 90 + total yards (100 in 2 of them) in 3 straight games, and is the better player PERIOD. This team needs to ride Schaub, Johnson, Daniels, and Slaton and stop with the BS. Slaton seemed to do well last season at the GL didn't he? Brown is a scrub and always has been. I am REALLY starting to question Kubiak as a HC. Ride your best players and stop with the cuteness. Brown is awful so GET IT!!!

gilthorp
What ever happened to the Sweetness up and over?
giantsfan
And even if they don't run Slaton, just leave him in and run your O. Play action or run to Slat. LEAVE him in and run the O. Putting Brown in is a total waste.
Rovers
Bottom line is this: The Houston O line could not roll a can of beans over the GL. It doesn't matter if it's Brown or Slaton, they just cannot get any push in short yardage. Houston needs to do something, anything other than running between the tackles in short yardage. I know Kubiack does'nt call the plays, but he is still the HC, and he better smack himself and his OC upside the head, and soon. Making the same moistake (play calling) time after time....it's like
wolfer
Lets not talk about a change at the GL, let's talk about a coaching change. 2-3 and they could easily be 4-1 right now in the thick of it. Once Jauron and Zorn get axed, Kubiak has to be in serious danger of losing his job...Houston fans what do you know about this situation? Seems to me this is a playoff caliber offense and the D should be much better. 8-8 cannot possibly cut it for this guy. I had Slaton last year and he was ok around the GL, but the 4 fumbles this year have cost him GL opportunities. Meanwhile Chris Brown has completely squandered his chance. Slaton looks a lot more quick and decisive now compared to the first 2 games, and he's killing my fantasy team as he takes a shovel pass to the 1 and leaves the game on 2nd and goal. For the love of God keep your best players in the game when it's on the line...
