Another case of celebrity/sports figure receiving special treatment, pathetic.

Quentin Groves-DL-Jaguars Oct. 11 - 8:15 pm et

According to First Coast News, Jaguars DE/OLB Quentin Groves was involved in a hit-and-run car crash on Friday.

Groves allegedly hit two cars with his Escalade before fleeing the scene, explaining that he "was a Jaguar and had a plane to catch." One of the cars was wedged underneath Groves' vehicle. Another driver reportedly witnessed the crash and wedged in Groves until police arrived. However, police then drove Groves to his plane and gave him a mere warning for improper lane change. "It seems like they get a different justice than the rest of us would," said Robyn Jackett, the father of one of the injured drivers. His son was hospitalized with back and arm pain. Jackett's car was totaled.

So how does a person hit a vehicle and run, but get pinned in and then transported by police? It's not really a hit and run if you stick around...is it?

If the police didn't see it, it may be hard for them to press criminal charges. It's not likely that he was a huge flight risk...they know who he is and where he's going to be should they decide to go after him with anything more significant. And anything civil isn't going to be settled overnight anyways.

Yeah, that read a little confusing to me too. But when you have someone's car wedged underneath of yours, "I'm a Jaguar I gotta leave" just doesn't seem appropriate.

Just read the whole story. It happened in the airport parking lot. The airport police made the decision to give him a warning for improper lane change.
