Braylon Edward's great TD catch, oops, no TD catch

The call on the field is TD. The play is reviewed, understandably, and overturned. I could live with all of that if not for the weak video evidence and the fact the explanation was pathetic. Paraphrase: After review, the player caught the ball and then his knee went to the ground, therefore the ball will be placed on the 1 yard line. That's complete crap! Not once does he mention whether there was contact made anywhere in the field of play. This is not college football there Skippy. There was no clear evidence to overturn that call. It's almost as if the challenge was that his knee was down and they didn't bother to look at anything else.

Clearly, in the grand scheme of football, it did not matter because the Jets scored on the next play however I know of at least 2 FF games that were decided by that call.

No, none of my games were involved.

I don't know if they get to look at other replays us schlep TV viewers don't get to see, so maybe that was it.

Now if they only get to see, what we get to see, then no freakin' way was that conclusive, which is what they're supposed to have to overturn.

Oh Yeah! I agree with ya. That was a Mickey Mouse explanation!

I won one of my games by a little more than 2 points because that call was over-turned. The other owner had Sanchez. YIPPEE!!

ETA: By the way, one of the looks I saw, I thought it was a good call that he was short, as Edwards' knee was on the ground and he was contacted and the ball was short of the GL.

I realize this does not make anything conclusive but the guy who eventually "contacted" him was standing in the endzone. And although I thought it was a bad call my biggest problem with the whole thing was the half-assed explanation.

The guy who contacted him was in the end zone and hit him IN the end zone. That was a TD!
