This is a new injury with the Saints coming off a bye, and won't help convince coach Sean Payton that Thomas is reliable enough physically to be a full-time featured back. We fully expect Thomas to keep those duties if the injury isn't significant, but the situation is worth tracking closely all week. Meanwhile, Mike Bell (knee) returned to practice Wednesday on a complete basis. Alll RBs get dinged up by now and a lot of them are limited in a practice. Some even get WED off to rest. I think the analysis is a bit of a stretch. The guy couldn't even come out for pre-game warm-ups because he was so sick. Instead he was laid out in the training room underneath the stadium with 2 bags of IV and was tossing and turning with some weird moaning sounds. The guy's a beast.
